Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sous AI mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, or if you are under 12, please do not use the Service.
1. Parties
These Terms form an agreement between you ("User") and the operator of Sous AI ("we", "us", "Sous AI"). By using the Service you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Service description
Sous AI is an AI-powered kitchen assistant that helps you manage a personal pantry, generate recipes from your ingredients, plan menus and browse a recipe library. Some features rely on third-party AI providers and may evolve over time.
3. Eligibility
Sous AI is intended for users aged 12 and over. To use the Service you must be at or above the age of digital consent in your country (18 in Türkiye, generally 16 in the European Union) or have your parent or legal guardian accept these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create an account, and will close any account we discover belongs to such a user without delay.
4. Registration and use
To use certain features you may need to create an account using an email address or a supported sign-in provider. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential and use the account for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Sous AI only for lawful purposes. You will not (a) attempt to disrupt, attack or reverse-engineer the Service, (b) misuse AI features to generate harmful, illegal or abusive content, (c) scrape, resell or use Service outputs to train competing AI models, or (d) impersonate another person or violate the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
7. Intellectual property
The Sous AI app, brand, logo, design, software and original content are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service. You retain ownership of the content you create (such as your pantry items and personal menus) and grant us the rights necessary to operate, secure and improve the Service on your behalf.
8. Subscriptions, billing and auto-renewal
Sous AI offers optional paid subscriptions. The fee is billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account according to the plan you select at the point of purchase, and your subscription auto-renews for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal may be charged up to 24 hours before the current period ends. The subscription type, price, renewal cadence and any free trial are clearly shown at the point of purchase. We may change pricing or plan terms; we will notify you before any change takes effect, and continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your device: on iOS go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; on Android go to Google Play → Account → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; that period's fee is not refunded and the subscription benefits remain available until the period ends. Refund requests are governed directly by the relevant store's refund policy (Apple Media Services Terms or Google Play Refund Policy); we cannot directly refund charges processed through the store.
10. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing us at the contact address below. Deletion is permanent; how your data and content are removed is described in the "Account deletion" section of the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription or trigger a refund through the store; cancel your subscription separately in the App Store or Google Play to stop future charges.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sous AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any loss caused by reliance on AI-generated content.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul, Türkiye, unless mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
