This policy explains what data Sous AI collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it. We aim to collect the minimum needed to make the app useful and we never sell your personal data.
Data we collect
Account information you provide (such as email and display name), the ingredients, menus and preferences you add inside the app, and basic device and usage data (such as device type, app version, crash reports and anonymized analytics) needed to deliver and improve the service.
How we use your data
We use your data to operate the app (storing your pantry, menus and recipes), to generate AI results based on your inputs, to keep your account secure, to fix bugs and improve the product, to send service messages and — only with your consent — product updates.
AI processing
When you generate recipes, the inputs you provide (such as pantry items, themes or diet preferences) are sent to AI providers so they can produce results. We do not use your personal account data to train AI models, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Sharing with third parties
We share data only with trusted processors who help us run the service: cloud hosting, crash and analytics tools, AI providers, and payment platforms (Apple App Store / Google Play) when you make a purchase. Each operates under their own terms and applicable data-processing agreements.
Storage and security
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored on reputable cloud infrastructure with access controls. We retain your data while your account is active; you can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app.
Notifications
If you opt in, we may send push or email notifications related to your account, new features or important updates. You can disable notifications from your device settings or unsubscribe from emails at any time.
Children's privacy
Sous AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the EU GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you have rights to access, correct, delete, export or restrict use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
